Gospel Light Baptist Church
Greeley, Colorado
Pastor Greg Baker and his wife Liberty arrived in Greeley, Colorado the night before the Columbine Shooting in Littleton Colorado, April 19th, 1999. The tragic event underscored the need for a light to shine forth in Colorado.

Born in Phoenix, Arizona, Pastor Baker grew up in a Christian home and was called to preach from Valley Baptist Church under Stan Slabaugh’s ministry. In 1994, he enrolled at Hyles-Anderson college in Crown Point, Indiana.
In his Junior year, he received assurance of his salvation on September 12th, 1996. Shortly there after, as God would have it, he met his future wife, Liberty. They were married in June of 1998, just a few short months after graduation.

They now have four boys, Dalen, Kyle, Owen, and Jacen.

From humble beginnings of two or three families, Pastor Baker and his wife have been richly blessed by God in the ministry. He loves what he does, and he has a passion for souls, marriages, and families. He feels there is nothing greater than to dedicate his life to His Saviour, Jesus Christ.

He loves almost all sports, chess, and is an avid writer. He has authored several books including ‘Fitly Spoken’ an intensive study of communication in Christ honouring relationships. You may see his works and read his many articles on the Christian life at: www.fitlyspoken.org

All of his books are free to Church members. Just e-mail him at: pastorgregbaker@msn.com and let him know what you want!

Pastor Baker is pleased to announce that his book ‘Fitly Spoken’ has been picked up by a publishing company and is due to be published and distributed domestically in late 2011. Brighton Publishing is excited to publish this work on communication and social skills. “Out of the last 1000 book that I was interested in publishing, this one is the best,” he told Pastor Baker over the phone. Pastor Baker is gratified that his interest in helping others will now achieved a greater influence.
